Got Bus Stops?

People have been complaining for a long time about the bus stops all over this island.

In the Hawaiian Beaches area, Fred Blas and the Hawaiian Beaches Action Team have built some lovely bus stops w/out the help of the county or state.

Now people along Highway 130 are starting to resort to making their own bus stops.

Here is a closer view of this particular one:

I know the County currently has plans on building bus stops, but it sure seems like it’s taking a long time to implement them.

In the meantime… people will continue to make their own bus stops along the State Highway.

I wonder how long it will be until we have another Bus Passenger killed while getting on or off the bus?

Twitter Being Used on Oahu for Real Time Traffic and Accident Reports

I sure wish more people on the Big Island would start using Twitter. I just noticed that even the Police over on Oahu are using Twitter to warn drivers of updates along the roads:
