The 2012 Big Island Film Festival kicked off today with workshops by Brian Kohne and Jennifer Grisanti, then from 5:00 – 7:00, the festival had an opening reception hosted by Mayor Billy Kenoi which included light pupu’s, wine from Kenwood Vineyard and Hula performed by a local Halau.

The festival continues for the next few days ending on Monday night with a concert by Kohala.
