Joseph and Gumapac 1 Vote Separating Them

My Unofficial Polls at the top of this page indicates just how important it is for everyone to vote.

The 5th District race is currently just one vote difference between Joseph and Gumapac out of 122 votes cast so far as of this posting.

This could boil down to a close race if folks get out and vote!

SMS Research Out of Honolulu Conducting Big Island Mayoral Polls

I just got a call from “Annette” from SMS Research in Honolulu.  Apparently they are doing a poll of Big Island residents and whom you would vote for Mayor.

I gave her the full on “Damon Tucker” investigation…. Asking who this poll is being paid by…etc.

“Annette” just mentioned she is a phone worker for the SMS Research Company.

Interesting last question….

Are you or have you ever been affilitated with a union?

I don’t know where they are going with this survey… but I guess it will be public information soon enough.

Pilago Meet and Talk Story In Na’alehu September 8th

Thirty Meter Telescope: The Poll

Aaron Stene wrote a piece yesterday on his blog about the Thirty Meter Telescope project.

This morning, he asked if I would run a poll on my blog.

I don’t have as much vested interest in this as he does.  I pretty much am divided on a few issues.

So here is the Poll and you can only vote once:

Advertiser Weighs in on Big Island Mayoral Race – Higa at 2%

The Advertiser weighed in on the Big Island Mayoral Race today.

It mentioned that the Stephens Media Poll showed Higa only had 2% of the votes.

…Council member Stacy Higa, who is also in the race, garnered just 2 percent of the vote…

I would take the Stephens Media Polls, much more seriously then my little unofficial ones.

I guess I have more Higa fans reading my blog in percentage then to the people the Stephens Media people polled because my Unofficial Poll has the following for the Mayorals race so far:

Barrozo, Joseph 0% (0 votes)
feedback barHiga, Stacy K 4% (9 votes)
Inouye, Lorraine R 5% (12 votes)
Kenoi, William P 20% (45 votes)
Masilamoney, Sam 0% (0 votes)

feedback bar
Moore, Jasper M. 1% (3 votes)
Pilago, Angel K. 68% (152 votes)
Riley, Randell A. 2% (4 votes)
feedback bar
Total Votes: 225 so far

Plastic Bags and Pakalolo: Final Results

I’m taking down the Plastic Bag Poll as well as the Pakalolo Poll from the Unofficial Poll at the top of this site since both polls have closed. Results can be seen below.

I’ll leave them up here if anyone wants to reflect back on them.

What Should the Candidates be Focusing On: The Poll

You can vote for more then one choice as well as write in an answer.

Edit… moving this over to the Unofficial polls part of my site.

Pilago, Joseph, Marzi, Jacobson and Obama

Pilago has a strong lead in my Unofficial Poll, Kenoi is closing the gap. This one will be real interesting to watch when I reset the polls again to see if peoples opinions have changed.

Joseph leads by a slim margin as him and Gumapac have been going back and forth for the last few days.

Marzi remains atop, and the Whiz Kid with the internet knowledge probably has a lot of friends online compared to Incumbent Hanohano.

Jacobson remains in the lead, but Enriques is closing the gap.

I’ll let you look at a different outdated poll to see how Obama was doing Statewide.

Masilamoney and Barrozo Head to Head…. Kenoi Making a Commotion

Just noticed that Masilamoney and Barrozo are running dead last in my Unofficial Polls.

I also noticed that Pilago’s high poll percentage has dropped in recent days, obviously from the recent rise in Kenoi votes. This could be an interesting race here on these unofficial polls after all.

My blog is less then a month old and as more people find my blog…. I would think the polls will continue to change.

About a week before the actual primary… I’ve decided that I’ll run another poll to give everyone a chance to re-vote in case their candidate of choice has changed.

Mr. Barrozo… I appreciate you running…. but after showing up 2 hours late at tonights forum….and then introducing yourself and saying you don’t know what to say…. I would say it’s honestly time to bow out.

No hard feelings…. if you ever read this though.

Stocksdale Leads Naeole

I don’t want to read too much into the Unofficial Poll at the top of this blog, but it does not surprise me that Stocksdale is leading Naeole in the poll.

Gumapac and Joseph Fighting it Out… Kenoi Lurking

Just noticed on the Unofficial Polls that Gumapac and Joseph are tied and Kenoi has begun to pick up a bit of steam although still far behind.

Gumapac Comes Back After a Surge By Joseph

Honestly folks… I’m not playing with you guys…. I can’t control these polls in any way other then reporting on them.

Gumapac and Joseph Running Dead Even

Just noticed that Joseph fans have rallied and Gumapac and Joseph are now dead even in my polls.

Trust me folks… I don’t have any control of these polls as I only embed the code into my site and the polls are formulated out of my control…. interesting note that really actually bums me out, is that as the administrator of these polls… and the restrictions that I put upon them, I freaking can’t even vote on them;) because of the restrictions of the polling service I’m using.

Joseph Closing In… Pilago Still Dominating… Hanohano Finding Her Groove…Jacobsen Leads… Plastic Bags and Pot

I just noticed that Wayne Joseph is closing in on Gumapac in the Unofficial Poll I have at the top of the page.

Pilago has dropped a percentage point, and Marzi continues to lead Hanohano, although she has picked up significant steam. Jacobsen has been in the lead from the start, although this poll got posted much later.

No suprises in either the plastic bag or pakalolo polls either.

However, the plastic bag poll I set to expire on the day of the last council Meeting.

Final Results there are:

35 People wanted to Ban Plastic bags for 74% of the Votes

While 12 people did not want to ban plastic bags at 26%

The vote that was is the most lopsided right now… Is Pakalolo over Police at 79% – 18%.

Please look at the top of this blog and vote if you haven’t already. Mahalo!

Update on the Polls

I’m moving the polls to a new page at top of this site.

I have turned on the option so that you can see the updates on the polls automatically.

Voting is still the same.

I’ve decided that I will take down the political polls after 7 days.

I will repost them a new set of polls in a few weeks to see if peoples views have changed on candidates.

Record Hits on My Blog and Safarik Pulls Ahead of Joseph in the Poll

Safarik fans have come out to play today it looks like, as now Safarik is down to Gumapac by 9 votes. In my earlier report, Joseph was ahead of Safarik.

Hawaii County District 6 Poll Added

At the request of a constituent of District 6, I have added a District 6 Poll on the Side Bar.

Please feel free to participate in that even if you are not in the District.

And remember everyone….. there is nothing scientific about this, and I don’t stand behind any candidate.

Pilago Pulling Away, Gumapac leading, Marzi in a Close One… Plastic Bags Poof

In my non scientific polls that I will keep up for at least another few weeks:

Pilago leads by 89 Votes over Kenoi

Gumapac leads by 8 over Joseph

Marzi leads by 2 over Hanohano.
